Hit Pieces on Whistle-blower Legislation
In the previous three years that the whistle-blower bill has come before the Arizona
Legislature, it has been "hit pieces," (sudden, incorrect but alarming misinformation,
given at the last moment, with no chance to be corrected), that have deceived many
legislators into changing their votes to NO at a critical time. Generally, the hit
pieces were orchestrated by some affected party that did not want waste, fraud and
abuse of authority in government to be looked into.
